Charles Remsburg Interviews Jack on Foot Pursuit Tactics
Jack was recently interviewed by well known author and instructor Charles Remsburg for a two part series of articles on foot pursuit tactics. Mr Remsburg is best known as the author of Street Survival, Tactics For Criminal Patrol, and The Tactical Edge. His most recent book is titled "Blood Lessons." He is also the Sr Contributor for PoliceOne.com and that is where the articles will appear.
"I first met Chuck Remsberg in 1983 at a Street Survival seminar in Pennsylvania. He signed my copy of "Street Survival" and was an outstanding instructor. I recently had the privilege of meeting Chuck again at IACP in San Diego. That meeting lead to the interviews and the articles that are now on PoliceOne.com It was an honor to speak with Chuck and I am thrilled that the tactical information I am so passionate about will reach so many officers across the country through his skilled writing. Chuck has given a great deal to all of us in law enforcement for decades." Jack
Apprehending Fleeing Suspects Is A Must Read For New Cops
The Albuquerque Police Department Training Academy made Apprehending Fleeing Suspects a mandatory read for all of our police cadets. The importance of a collaborative effort on the part of S.W.A.T., K-9, Air support, and patrol cannot be overstated. The decision to pursue or contain is vital, and we feel this needs to be ingrained at the cadet level. A.P.D. purchased fifty books for our library here at the Academy. We are issuing the books to each cadet and collecting them prior to their graduation. They'll have dog eared pages and worn covers in no time.
